The Family Reunification – Mexico program supports older adults from Mexico in reuniting with their families in the United States through long-term visitor visas.

Requirements

  • 58 years or older

  • Valid passport

  • CURP

  • Voter ID

    (Credencial de Elector)

  • Birth certificate

  • Being part of the eligible family members


It is required that you have not been in the U.S. in the last 10 years.

It is required that you have not been in the U.S. in the last 10 years.

  • Applicants may visit the following family members residing in the United States:

    • Mother or Father

    • Siblings

    • Brothers-in-law / Sisters-in-law

    • Aunts and Uncles

    • Cousins

    • Parents-in-law

  • Each application requires the following financial commitments per older adult:

    • $500 USD donation
      (Supports administrative costs, processing, coordination, advisory services, and personalized assistance)

    • Visa processing fee:
      3,800 Mexican pesos

  • Due to delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, current appointment wait times may range from 18 months to 24 months.
